Finally!!!

WOW! I finally got logged on here! My internet at home is sketchy at best and for some odd reason will NOT log on to blogger at all. I finally got my laptop back from IT ... well story on that later ... and now have a free night because our class was cancelled. So guess what I'm doing? Yep, catching up on blogger!

Let's see, what's new since Ava's first birthday??? Well, all the kids are doing great. Christian and Toree are doing good in Texas thus far ... band, choir, school work ... so nothing to complain about there :) Madison performed in the Nutcracker with the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre this past December!! Loads of fun there :D Bailey played fall baseball for the first time. It was his first sport to participate in. He did so good! Little miss is still just as sassy and cute as a button :) She and I are having fun being by ourselves during the day and going to eat lunch with the older ones.

I just started my 6th quarter here at school and am a junior now. I was voted President of Alpha Omega Xi in November and took office fully in January. So far so good if I do say so myself. I was able to get our competition team $10,000 of the $12,000 we needed to go to Nationals in Delaware this March! Woo-hoo! I'd say that is a great accomplishment BUT I must give MUCH credit to my treasurer, Melissa, who was integral in getting the proposal written to put before the President of the school.

Last October I went to my first competition with Alpha Omega Xi in Columbia, South Carolina. It was so much fun, but oh so tiring at the same time. All of 6 of us went, there were over 150 participants, and we won 16 of the 29 awards available to us. (It's an odd number because of things like we only had one guy that fit into the 36+ year old male category for Physical Agility ... therefore only one award in that category was available for us to win ... I was the only female, etc, etc, etc.) We did so awesome!!!

Now we will be going to Nationals in Delaware from March 17-24th. I don't expect us to place in anything just because of the grander scale of competition... but then again we expected to maybe come home with 2 or 3 awards at best from Regionals!

Then on top of that we are hosting Regionals here in October. Of course that falls under my reign ... talk about pressure - NOT - this is J's baby!!! ;)

I'm just starting a new website for the AOX chapter ... check it out if wanna - not much there at the moment ~ something about needing time to sit down and do it ........... www.geocities.com/acjalaeaox

Let's see what else ... gosh, I guess not much! A whole lotta birthdays I missed getting up on the blog, but that will just have to be because I don't have time to go back and make sure they are all posted. I can only go from here on out! If I think of anything else I will post it!!
