14 - 6

Yes, that would be the score of the Black Knights football game they won last night against the Generals. The boys did great! It was one of those exciting games ... not the on the edge of your seat continuous action, but one with just enough time to relax and enjoy with just the right amount of get out of your seat, scream your head off, great plays!

Of course, Toree was the co-captain of the squad tonight! She did great! The girls looked really good at half-time! I was really proud of them all around :-)

I will post some pictures as soon as they are all downloaded.

Dragons

This is Bailey's soccer team! They are absolutely adorable :)
Well, they had their first game today and even though they lost they played hard! Paul was out of town so I and one of the dads co-coached. What a workout!

Bailey came out during the first minute of play because he got hit in the eye. He went back in during the second quarter but was out within the first few minutes because when he kicked a ball, someone else was kicking and somehow made his leg bend backwards. During the second half he started to come out and I told him no - because this time it was over hurt feelings. He got to play goalie during the last quarter and the other team scored on him - I thought for sure he was going to sit down right there and pout, but the other coach was ready and was at the goal talking to him the whole time!

It's funny but I kind of hope Paul is gone for all the practices and games - this was fun!!!

I had had to drop Madison off at ballet early and made her take some books and paper with her because I would be late picking her up. Well, while picking her up we made friends with a homeschooling family. The mom offered that at any time I need help, especially with getting Madison to ballet, to let her know and she would help. That is such a blessing because I had been thinking all morning that I didn't like the arrangement I set up even though it was the best one because the studio is extremely safe. A police officer is a board member and he is always there.

Anyhow, that was our MORNING! Now we have the afternoon off until it is time to go to Toree's game tonight.

Christian Update

Hey all, I just wanted to give you a little update on Christian. He started school today, Wednesday, September 5th. For his first day, he missed the bus! Yes, you read that right, he missed the bus on his first day of school. jenny woke him up at 6:53 --- Guess what time the bus went by .... 6:52. Yep, he had to fly to get ready and have jenny take him!

Let's see, well he had a few schedule changes ... he's taking Spanish now instead of French - which suits him just fine 'cause he didn't want to take French. He's also in Honors Science! His other classes include, English, Algebra/Geomotry 1, Washington State History, and Health.

Christian was telling me that they get out of school at 2:05. Well, football practice starts at 2:15. This gives him 10 minutes to leave class (well, actually they have Homeroom at the end of the day), run downstairs to the locker room, change into his pads, AND get out on the field. He'll certainly be prepared for the Marine Corps - ya know, dressing in a full set of cammies - all buttoned up, boots tied, trouser legs tucked in boot bands - all in a matter of less than a minute.

He said that here it is the first day of school, now of course for him it was ALL brand new, but that some of the guys were walking out on the field 5 and 10 minutes late and the coach was mad. He was glad he got out there on time!!

OH about football - he is playing WIDE RECIEVER and CORNERBACK. So this means my baby could be taking in some touchdowns! They are the Raiders but when he goes to high school he will become a Cougar. To me it is odd that all the Junior Highs that feed into the High School, all play against each other in sports and have different mascots. Where I come from and around here, each cluster that feeds into a high school is the same mascot and they play different clusters.

Tomorrow he is going to the optometrist and may be getting contacts! I will find out this weekend if he got them or not :-)

Who's Your Captain?

Yes, that would be Toree!!!

She was named Captain for the team last night for next week's game!!!

WTG, baby girl - Love you :-D

:-(

Well, the Black Knights lost last night. We don't know what happened. For some reason they just could not get their heads in the game but they did execute some good plays, make for some excitment, and took down 5 of the opposing teams players ... as it everyone had to take a knee and the players had to sit out from their injuries.

Those boys gave so many balls to the Panthers that you would have thought we had defectors! BUT Black Knight defense did do rather well even though three touchdowns were scored on them.... to be technical, most of the points came on the offense's watch due to interceptions and not the defense's watch.

The girls did a lot of crowd-participation cheers which is always great for getting the fans to holler and stomp the stands.... and well we did lots of stomping the stands!!!

Anyhow, they boys only lost by one touchdown and a two point conversion ... 22 - 14.

First High School Football Game

Toree attended her first high school football game Friday night. I picked up her friend, Courtney, and took them to the game. This was a first for me as well, for two reasons: 1) I'm taking one of my babies and dropping them off at a high school football game, 2) I've never been to a football game here at Central so I didn't know how picking them up would be!

Picking them up was not so bad. They had the entrance I went in to drop them off blocked so I was about to call them when they called me at the pick up spot wondering how far away I was. I told them to hightail it to where the Q100 van had been parked and I would slow down long enough for them to jump in but that they had to hurry. They of course took their sweet time and I had to go down the street a 1/2 mile and park in a little blocked off entrance. So not so bad.

Anyway, Central won 31 to 14! I'd say it was a great first game :)
